“One cannot lead another where one has not gone
himself"
This is a pretty profound statement. To me, it means that if
you have not experienced something such as integral health and inner healing,
it is pretty difficult to teach or lead someone else in a direction you
yourself have never accomplished. I can tell someone to do something a certain
way, if I have never experienced or done what they are embarking on. A person
can’t give knowledge when they do not have it. In the health and wellness
profession, I think that it is important to explore different counseling areas
and have good knowledge of a variety of things. One size does not fit all.
Reanne,
ReplyDeleteI agree with you about when being in the health and wellness profession you must explore different counseling areas and have good knowledge of a variety of things to be able to help a variety of people. My degree will be in Human Services and helping others is my passion. The last thing you should tell someone is "one size fits all". To each their own and that should be how everyone is viewed. What works for one may and will not work for all. We are equal but different. Good post, I enjoyed reading it. ;-)
